I thought this was pretty amusing; one of my friends went onto a website selling RuneScape gold. I’m assuming this is a live chat with someone on the website:

The Skillers Union has finally hosted a weekly skill i can take part in! The bad news is I only came second place
I only lost by a measly 200k experience. The weekly exp chart is really well made which you can check out here: Farming Week
Not far to go in the mining department

The Orb of Oculus will bring a whole new perspective to RuneScape Graphics, signatures, avatars and videos.
I really do think it should be much more userfriendly. Why can’t we use the mouse to click on how many degrees we wish to move or rotate the camera. The keyboard is so clumsy!
I still look forward to starting on my Machinima entry using the new orb

I’ve found my twin on RuneScape.
I call him, Mini-me!

Strangely the Living Rock Caverns ALWAYS has a bot standing in this spot:

The Living Rock Cavern 'Bot-spot'
I’ve seen 4 different accounts standing here, it seems to be a differen’t account every day. But it will just stand there, for over 10 hours straight?
Obviously it must be doing something, or else the 5 minute inactivity would automatically log out the account. Maybe it’s a popular bot script which has gone wrong and leaves many people clicking on the wrong spot. But who would leave their account for over 10 hours?
It’s always exactly the same spot. And there is never more than one account here. Are all the accounts owned by the one person?
I don’t report them, just interested in what the hell they are doing?!

While mining there was some commotion about someone’s player moderator status being removed.
I noticed Only_Magic20 without a crown next to his name! It’s funny this should happen, only two days after i reported him and posted the screenshot on this blog of him saying:

Rude Player Moderator
Possibly my report had gone through, or he has slipped up elsewhere. Eitherway, i’m glad to see him without a crown. He was never a very nice person, and still isn’t.
I actually told him in-game that i reported him. So if it was me, all my text would have been in the evidence which was most likely why he said this out of the blue:

An Ex- P Mod does not like me
There was a bit of an argument started after i told him i also took a screenshot of him saying ‘BS’. He had many friends mining who defended him, but i was happy to see many people who agreed he was a very rude moderator.

The Ex-P Mod is getting mad
After calling me a jerk, he must have started feeling quite sorry for himself. I can’t say i feel sorry for him, if he wants to be rude to people there was no need for him to accept the moderator position in the first place.

Better luck next time

Isn’t it funny the things we can get away with on quickchat, that would most likely otherwise result in a mute?
I remember when quick chat first arrived to RuneScape, Jagex had a whole bunch of weird items you could say such as “mobile”. Pretty strange since the word “mobile” has always been censored for personal safety.
P.s. I haven’t been able to get online the past few days due to BT Router problems, which are now fixed!
I probably freaked out my friend sayign these things, i didn’t tell him i was going to screenshot it !

Is it fair to give Player Moderators an in-game crown? Not only appointing more important than everyone else, but giving them an advantage in most situations.
Don’t get me wrong – I think Player Moderators are a great idea; having players assigned to helping the community and keep it safe. But the in-game crown giving them priority and almost leadership over all other players; is that fair?
You could say they have earned their position? But does it also earn them a right to speak to players who have Public chat turned off? An unfair advantage when trading? Being able to speak above other players and be noticed in clan chats?
To keep is fair i think Player Moderators should not have the in-game crown, keeping them equal to all other players, which they should be. The in-game rule breakers can still be muted by the Moderators, so it would keep things virtually the same. It would also mean they don’t get hounded constantly from people asking how to also become a moderator!
The crown can be seen as a point of help in most player’s eyes. But are player moderators any more help than normal players? In fact i remember a player asking a Moderator if skill levels affect Player Moderators being choosen. The Moderator said you should have all skills above 70, which is completely wrong. The knowledge base states that skills arn’t even considered in the selection process. But Mods are only human, just like the rest of us. We don’t need a crown to see where help is waiting.
