Cordskinz product review

Cordskinz: The Solution to Tangled Earphones!

If you’re like me and find yourself untangling your earphones every time you want to listen to music, you probably want to check out Cordskinz.

In a nutshell it’s a coloured skin that wraps around your headphones wire helping prevent them from tangling up into a knot. Even when I scrunch them up in my pocket I’m still able to pull them out and use them right away when I need them later.

Cordskinz Package

Inside the package you’ll find two cords plus a handy tool that helps you slide the skin around your headphone wires.

It’s a little fiddly at first but once you’ve got the tip of the skin attached they wrap around fairly easily. You’ll also want to keep a pair of scissors to hand to trim any excess and fit the skin around any volume controls on your wires.

My one complaint would be if you are wearing your headphones inside your clothes when walking – the thicker cables will actually cause your ear-buds to be pushed out your ears which can get annoying!

There’s a whole range of colours available on the Cordskinz websites. I’m a fan of the red and white combination but I’m even more happy not to spend 5 minutes every day untangling my earphones!

Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Tips and Tricks

Top 10 Witcher 3 Tips and Tricks!

I’ve been seeking a new RPG game to immerse myself in again and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has really hit the spot.

If you’ve just picked up the game, or will be soon. I have 10 Tips which are really going to make your time in The Witcher 3 that much easier!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Top 10 Tips & Tricks:

  1. The first sidequest you should complete is ‘Devil by the Well’ – this will give you an item that grants you an experience boost! See the exact location in the video above.
  2. You should Meditate and save before a battle. Mediating fills up your HP bar and refill your potions, and saving prevents you from having to load from an old save if you die!
  3. The Witcher 3 seems to have huge fall damage, jumping from a 5 foot ledge can leave you with hardly any health. When falling from great heights, press the jump button again before you hit the ground to do a tuck and roll and absorb some of the impact (if not all of it)
  4. Always invest skill points into signs and use them whenever possible.
  5. Sometimes your horse will get scared when it’s faced with enemies. You can Axii ability on your horse to reduce its fear level. Simply equip axii while riding and hit R2 when Roach’s fear meter is going up and it will go back down!
  6. Holding down attack on horseback makes the cameras move in slow motion, making it easier to hit your target. Fighting on horseback will actually increase the strength of your attacks.
  7. Find as many Places of power as possible – they grant one ability point
  8. Loot everything you can carry for alchemy and crafting.
  9. If you’re having trouble killing enemies – you need to check their weakness’ in the bestiary.
  10. As tempting as it may be don’t sell your starting armour for a little cash. It can actually be upgraded using the crafting system so don’t be in a rush to sell it.

A huge mention to the awesome Witcher Subreddit community for help with these tips.

If you have any tips of your own you’d like to add, please leave them in the comments section!

Gameband Review (Minecraft Gift Ideas!)

I was recently able to get my hands on a pretty interesting gadget known as a Gameband.

In a nutshell it’s a wearable USB that allows you to backup your Minecraft worlds. It comes with a pricetag of around $80 which does NOT include a Minecraft license (You’ll have to buy that separately from Mojang).

Here’s a quick run-through of the main features:

  • If you have an internet connection the Gameband will automatically backup your Minecraft progress to a Gameband cloud server.
  • The USB is 3.0 enabled with 8GB of storage.
  • The USB contains software to allowing you to customize the 140-LED digital display. It’s a great feature to program custom text or animations to scroll across the screen.

Overall the Gameband looks awesome and is a handy gadget for any Minecraft fanatic. The price tag makes it a bit of a luxury item – however it would make a perfect gift.

I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what other games the Gameband can adapt with.

GlitchTek

Today Jagex released the very dramatic update of RuneTek 5, an improved Game Engine, bringing RuneScape a graphical rework.
I spent today making up a review video. I made the video in around 2 hours, so i didn’t include anything and there are a few mistakes. But i think it went well overall 🙂

Yesterday i interviewed Aximili E I. It went really well and now i have the daunting task of finishing the whole Blogging Video!

Today there was a very unusual glitch where some players on Highscores had a total level of 1,377 (this is not possible since with all skills 99 the total level is 1376). This made Gertjaars lose his #1 Spot for a few hours! Here are some screenshots:

This Highscores glitch was soon fixed a few hours later. I found this post from a Jagex Moderator on the Official RuneScape Forums:

Apologies but we do have a glitch in the hiscores which is incorrectly calculating the overall level of any player that has logged out of the game since the update.

We have now fixed the problem with the Hiscores software. It was determining overall levels incorrectly and some individual skill XP totals were also affected. As a result of the fixes, the Hiscores may not be showing your up-to-date skill totals – these will be updated with your correct values when you next log out.

Some New Things

Summoning Level 85
Summoning Level 85

Today i used up around 700 blue charms to get my final summoning level.
Spirit Graahk Furs were being heavily dumped by Goldmerch so i had to wait for them to drop to a more reasonable price.

The Furs have a horrible buy limit of only 100 per 4 hours, however i was able to get them all at minimum price.

I’ll be making a combat training review with this new familiar soon.

RuneScape Updates :

18th August 2009 – Menagerie, Familiar Controls and Butlers

The main features of today’s update:

– “all combat familiars will now follow you into a fight much more promptly”

– “updated the Summoning status globe (the button near the minimap) so that you can configure what happens when you left-click on it”

– “If you want a place to keep your pets, you can now do this with a new room for Construction – the menagerie”

– “your butler has learned when it’s time to talk and when it’s time to get on with it”

In other news…

A very nice graphical adjustment made to longswords and scimitars

An activity bar on Fishing Trawler and Soul Wars mini-games (Nice to stop ‘free-loaders’)

Today i decided to make a review of the Armoured Zombies Training Location.

This Blog will only be a short review. For a much more in-depth guide, please see this video:

RuneScape PvP World Changes Review

I have spent the last 3 days planning and making a PvP World Changes Review.

I wanted to also test if Jagex has properly fixed the 26K Trick, Hope you enjoy:

As you can see from the video,  I don’t think Jagex has been successful in stopping players abusing the Potential System. Using EP (Earn Potential) will still bring you alot more than the 76K coins which your partner dies with.

I think a permanent solution to stop the 76K Trick would be to stop players entering over the Wilderness Ditch with any Combat Unrelated Items such as coins etc

Reached 16M Runecrafting Experience and achieved level 62 Slayer (Total Level now 2157)

Mobilising Armies

Today a  new Mini-Game was added, Mobilising Armies. I played through the tutorial and the Mini-Game is actually quite confusing to begin with.

I took this opportunity to create a new Video Review/Guide for this update.

I sold my Santa Hat for 16M since they have peaked alot recently.

I’m getting very close to 99 Strength now, and i’m having trouble planning what to do next! I need time to plan the best methods to use the herbs and charms i’ve gathered from training here at the Armoured Zombies.
I don’t want to runecraft since they are 143gp Each which is a huge rise. I would rather wait for them to crash before i buy any

Sailing Away

The head CEO of Jagex, Mark Gerhard (Mod MMG) sadly confirmed yesterday that Sailing will never be a skill in RuneScape while he is Admin.

I am quite sad since i had alot of evidence which proved that Sailing could actually be a new skill. It does however, leave me confused on what the next skill could be!

If you have any ideas, please let me know!

Levels Achieved Today:

Achieved level 98 Strength (Total Level 2149) (Combat Level 116)

New Bounty Hunter Worlds PvP

Today Jagex added the new Bounty Hunter worlds in Runescape.

After reading the update page, i couldn’t help but to feel disappointed. I would really prefer to have the old Bounty Hunter back.

I decided to hop to a Bounty Hunter world anyway and give it a try. Since well over 50% of the world are at Edgeville bank, it was very laggy. I managed to kill my target once which was awesome loot, a dragon med helm, infinity hat, rune boots. I also killed three other rangers who were not my target. The loot was quite good. One of the loots was an amulet of fury! I couldn’t believe it!

I edited my Bounty Hunter review and guide video, i’ll upload it later tonight.

When i logged back in after editing, i died straight away which was disapointing.
